Love...

A term thrown around so loosely, but it holds so much weight. We become so engrossed in it that we lose ourselves in the name of it.
People often tell me that you will find love, you will find that one person who will treat you right, you will find the man of your dreams, and they always end it by saying, 'all in its time.'
Yes, totally! Only Allah knows what we do not, and only He knows what is best for us.
I sometimes get the impression people feel sorry for me because I am not married yet. But, please don't.
I have gone through so many ups and downs in my life, and for that reason, deciding just to marry any man who comes my way is not on the cards.
My marriage ended 8 years ago, and most people don't even know why, but I leave them to their assumptions. I have also made certain decisions, wrong ones, in my marriage that I am not proud of, but I have learnt from it, and am still learning.
You see, we go through life thinking we are victims, thinking people harmed us, but in fact, we harm ourselves.
I don't think many people understand how important it is for us to know ourselves.
We make the wrong choices and fall into the trap of the illusions the world has to offer, because we don't truly know ourselves.
Here's the thing: when I say we need to know ourselves, it ties into knowing Allah.
Who are we without Him?
We have no purpose without His presence in our lives. Say what you want, think what you want, but nothing in this world can ever replace our relationship with Allah.
I know I am weak, and my strength lies with Allah.
I also know who I am and what I want for myself, but most importantly, I know what Allah wants from me. I constantly beg Him and plead with Him to rectify my life, to rectify my wrongs, because without His guidance, I am lost.
Choosing Him first, making decisions not to please our own desires, but only doing what pleases Him. And whatever leaves us in the process is not a loss, if we have gained Him.
We live for Him and only Him, we find ourselves to find Him, and that is LOVE.
So again, please don't feel sorry for me because I have love, and the more I get to know myself better, the more I know that my path to the man that is for me, will not be by my choice, but by His...
Allah knows best. ♥️
Being Mindful,
Ganeefa
